Objection to Stages 1 and 2 of the widening of Hiram's Highway, Sai Kung
Message:
Dear Sai Kung District Council Member, As you are aware Highways Department is proceeding with the Hiram’s Highway widening project. Stage 1 is going ahead without further consultation from a public which is overall against it, while Stage 2 is proceeding under a shroud of secrecy. I would like to ask you to represent my views regarding Hirams’ Highway. I believe Stages 1 and 2 should be considered as one project and no works should be approved or started on either stage until Highways has taken into account the needs of residents and visitors, including better public transport, pedestrian and bicycle tracks.
